Goat Head Coffee Co. launched during the global pandemic of 2020 in Coral Springs, FL. The founders, Andy and his wife Jasmine, are both frontline healthcare workers in the emergency room and parents to two young boys. They saw a need for coffee that was not only robust and balanced, but also organic and delicious.
Andy grew up in NY experiencing his mother “Mimi” drinking coffee daily and sharing her love of coffee with people who entered their home. He realized then how coffee was “the great uniter”, allowing people to socialize, get close, and be happy. Andy grew up to develop his own personal rapport with coffee that only became stronger through his international travels and experiences.
Goat Head Coffee Co. was created after extensive research, sampling of coffees and blends around the world, and careful attention to creating a brand of high quality coffee that is organic, fresh, and flavorful. History of the Name
Legend has it that coffee was discovered by a goat herder named Kaldi in Ethiopia who found his goats frolicking and full of energy after eating the red cherries of the coffee plant. He tried the fruit himself and noted a similar reaction. Kaldi later took his coffee cherries to monks who disapproved and threw them into a fire. The aroma that followed was so captivating that they consumed the roasted cherries and spent the night awake and alert! Hence, the name Goat Head Coffee was derived.
